I have been avidly crocheting since 2010. I am always working on something or a few somethings. HA!

I don't know what I would do if I wasn't crocheting. It has helped me keep my sanity in some rough times. It also keeps me from being too idle the most other times.

 

I am self taught and there is always something new to learn. In fact, I have a list! I developed my love of working with crochet thread since about 2016. It took a little bit to get the hang of working with such thin materials. But now it's my favorite medium to use.

It has come time to put on a new hat. The one called "pattern designer". I am already in LOVE and am having a blast. And I have plenty of ideas to keep me going for quite a while. 

​

I love doilies. They are my absolute favorite thing to crochet. Currently I mostly created filet crochet patterns and other home décor items or small gifts. But many times when I am designing a doily, as I work the pattern I think along these lines...."If I made this with yarn and worked it as tapestry crochet it would be a nice sturdy wall hanging. Or if I made 2 and put them together I could make a matching pillow or tote bag. If I made several I could put them together for a large throw or afghan."  And I love that versatility. If you just think outside the box a little bit.

So just because I say a pattern is a doily, doesn't mean it can't be something else with a little ingenuity.

As long as you don't copy, distribute, reproduce or sell my finished patterns; free or paid patterns can be used to create items to sell for charity or profit.

*You are not allowed to create tutorials for learning purposes with my patterns without explicit written permission from myself.

*You must use your own photos for selling purposes. All photos from this site as well as the pattern photos and instructions belong to Diane Gibb Designs & D's Natty Threads and you are not allowed to use them.

*You may use one photo from the site for pinning to Pinterest or for linking directly to the actual pattern in any of it's locations. (Ravelry, Etsy, the blog etc.).

*Please do not claim the designs as your own. A link would be highly appreciated if possible for online selling or on a tag at craft fairs. At the very least a shout out to me as the designer.  Thank you so much!
